Mr. President's initiative on

Youth Empowerment through Sportmanship

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's initiative on youth empowerment through sportsmanship is part of his broader vision to harness the potential of Nigeria's youth. His administration aims to promote national cohesion and unity among young people by addressing critical issues such as unemployment, education, and healthcare. One of the key components of this initiative is the proposed ‘NUGA Games’, which will serve as a platform for young people to come together and compete, share their aspirations and collaborate on solutions to the challenges they face through sportsmanship . The NUGA aims to empower the youth to actively participate in sports on both the national and international front to ensure their voices are heard in shaping policies that impact their lives. By fostering sportsmanship and encouraging youth to engage in sports activities, the initiative seeks to instill values such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. These qualities are essential for personal development and success in various aspects of life.
